Our Holiday Treasures show was again another wonderful experience this year! Thank you to all our customers, friends and family who came out to shop, visit, eat and were maybe warmed by the campfire we had outside. Martha and I truly cherish this show each year and the happiness it brings to all of you and us. We hear from many customers how coming out to the show puts them in the Christmas spirit and inspires them. It's fun to see people buying special gifts for their loved ones or themselves, we work very hard to bring unique, beautiful creations and vintage wares to this show.

I also wanted to give a big thanks to Sarah of Roost Reimagined and Martha's sister Ellen who helped us out at the show.

My camera has mysteriously disappeared so I can't post any pictures right now, I'm hoping to find it soon!

In the meantime, I wanted to let you know about a very wonderful show this weekend at Mission Mill, click on the links below for more info and sneak peeks.

I can't believe it's only a week away from our Holiday Treasures show! It can't be holiday show time already can it? Didn't we just do Halloween? Yes, it's here and it's my favorite time of year! There are so many wonderful shows out there in the next coming weeks and I would love you to see them all but you just have to make it out to Molly Mo's for our 6th annual sale!

There's a chill in the air and the twinkle lights are going up, getting the barn festive with lots of goodies for you - great vintage Christmas decor, ornaments, wreaths by Molly Ferder, sparkly mirrors, old chandeliers, frenchy and primitive furniture, one-of-kind art, too much to list! I've recovered (mostly) from the best show I think so far in Molly Mo's six year history! A huge thank you to all our customers and friends who turned out in huge numbers to shop, visit, eat and enjoy a beautiful summer day.

I will be posting more pics soon, Jen has again taken awesome shots and is still editing, stay tuned!

Pam brought several of these gorgeous bouquets from her garden to give to vendors, she also donated all the hay bales. Thanks again Pam, we love you!

I also want to thank the most talented, caring and friendly vendors a girl could ask for - you guys really are the best! Just to illustrate what a great group this is; one of our new vendor's had set up Friday before the show, now our little place out here we lovingly refer to as "tornado alley of Sublimity" due to the winds that come up in the afternoon on a hot day. Well, these gals had their booth just adorable and then the worst happened - the canopy collapsed!! My husband and I were gone putting signs up but several other vendors pitched in to help them out. The girls were able to get another canopy and the end result was even better than the original set up!

This show would not be successful without these folks and I am so blessed to have them not only as vendors, but more importantly, as friends.

Vendor Spotlight - Just Chic

One more new vendor to the Molly Mo's Antique Faire line up are Kim and Jennifer of Just Chic (no blog). I met these two lovely ladies at the Funky Junk show in Hillsboro through their friend Sue of Bella Shabby.

Friends for twelve years, Kim and Jennifer share the same passion for everything old, chippy, and not-so-perfect...the stories these treasures could tell intrigue them each and every time they stumble upon them.

Once co-owners of a little shop on Main Street in downtown Hillsboro called Just Chic, they have now taken their treasure hunting on the road to partake in local vintage shows. Both moms to three kids each, life is never dull! But the passion they have for junking remains as strong as ever, and they enjoy sharing that passion with others through shows such as Molly Mo's, Farmhouse, and Funky Junk Sisters. Junk on!

Christine of Christine Marie Studio is a new vendor to my show and I am so proud to have her! She creates wonderful bohemian style jewelry that is so delicate yet has that "edge" to it that we love. Using vintage elements and lots of imagination, I'm loving her style, I know you will too!

From Christine's blog: "I’m a 39 year old wife and mother of 2, with a day job as a graphic designer, and a passion for creating jewelry when I am not doing any of the above. My vintage-inspired designs balance bold color, vintage findings, unique finishes and mixed metals. All my earwires, chains and filigrees are hypoallergenic and nickel-free.

I grew up the oldest of 5 siblings. My parents have a little property and I was fortunate to have 3 horses of my own. I’m a farm girl at heart... my horses shared a barn with my dad’s car projects. She is incredibly talented and after taking a break to have baby #2, she's back as a vendor to Molly Mo's and I am so happy she's getting back in the saddle! Lindsey makes these adorable Cowgirl Canteens among many other creative, recycled goods and just plain old great stuff.

So excited to head up to the Barnhouse Vintage Marketplace show this weekend!

It's been a struggle this year getting everything ready for many reasons I won't bore you with. Let's just say it's a miracle I have anything ready! So goes the life of a mom, government worker (my day job) and owner of two businesses. Always too much to do and too little time,especially lately. waah waah waah.....ok pity party over.

Barnhouse Peeks.....

Time is flying by this summer and on July 30th I'll be a vendor at Barnhouse Vintage Country Marketplace again this year. If you haven't made it to the show yet, this is the year to go!

Tons of great vendors, food, music and beautiful countryside await you. I've been busy collecting goodies just for this sale and with my super talented hubby, we've also been busy ripping off old hog barn roofing at my in-laws farm to make the cute little fence panels pictured. They make the perfect backdrop for your flower or vegetable garden or they can stand alone AND are super easy to install!

Each panel is approx 6 feet long and 3 feet tall, you can place several together to make a long run of fence or just use one panel to highlight a special area of your garden. These will be for sale with or without an old galvanized bucket attached for planting. I filled these buckets with herbs or you can pop in a bouquet of flowers, either way - super cute! A great way to reuse this old roofing rather having it go off to the metal recycler or trash.

I'll try to post some more peeks in the next couple weeks so stay tuned.

Farmhouse Show Fun!

I wanted to share some pics of my booth, Aunt Bee's (Belinda and Larena) did a fabulous job organizing this special show. Lots of talented vendors, all I had to do was set up and then they sold everything for me - nice!

What a great show! Tons of people came to the old Turner Tabernacle church to shop for farm fresh goodies. I wanted to show you a pic of the awesome backdrop my husband made (I helped). We used old metal roofing and created giant "pickets". I wanted a whimsical farm fence for my booth space - I loved how it turned out. We made two panels each with three pickets, approx 8 feet tall and 6 feet wide. We can make to order, any size, if interested, just leave me a comment!

More pics of my shop from the 3 Friends Sale held on March 12th. My very sweet son-in-law, Eric, took these before the show started Saturday morning. I think he did a great job, how blessed I am to have such a wonderful "son" after four daughters! Eric is not only a great budding photographer, he's our own personal I.T. computer (is that a redundant term?) guy who helps us with so many technical things. He's also a terrific husband to my eldest daughter Cara,which is his most important role.

Hello, my name is Jennifer Evans, of Create Well... Create Often, and my sweet friend Diane has asked me to be a guest blogger! I am so thrilled!

I have to say, when I met Diane almost three years ago, I never would have guessed how she would bless my life. (This is the best part about being a guest blogger for Diane... I can talk about her as much as I want and she can't edit it... heehee) No, really, Molly Mo's isn't just a shop or a place where you can find antiques and the hottest trends in shabby chic home decor. It is so much more than that. I know everyone who supports Molly Mo's will describe it differently. But for me it is magical.

Molly Mo's inspires. I met Diane at a local garden tour. I fell in love with her garden and sense of style. I always bring along my camera and was able to share with her the photos I took while I was there. I had no idea that I was going to be able to meet so many wonderful people through her Summer Antique Faire and I have come to the conclusion that they are some of the nicest people I have ever met! Whenever I need some artistic inspiration, I know where to go!

As Craft Warehouse's design team leader, I have the privilege to work with some amazing artists, design for a great company, and come up with some creative ways to get our artists excited about some of our upcoming assignments. Paper crafters love fresh new paper and this month we are able to work with a new line from Pink Paislee called Daily Junque by House of Three. When I saw this line, I thought immediately of Diane and Molly Mo's. So, I called Diane and asked her if I could come by her place the day before her Friends Event. I tried to capture the magic that makes Molly Mo's what it is by video and then I posted this video on our team's forum. The team's job was to watch the video and try and guess the new line we were to be working with. For those who knew Diane and Molly Mo's they guessed right away. ;)

What an awesome Holiday Treasures show!

Many thanks to all our loyal friends & customers and the many new friends who came out to the show. We had a packed house for Friday night early buying with people looking (and finding!) that one of kind treasure. Luckily we also had plenty of great things left for the Saturday sale, but by closing time, we were pretty cleaned out.

I also want to thank our fantastic helpers! We could not pull off this show without a lot of help and these are the very special people who generously offered their time and talent; Elf Patty, Valerie, Betty, Ellen, Kathleen and my daughter Molly.

What a beautiful show this past weekend at Ruffles & Rust in Monroe,WA. It was an all out girly-girl event. Ladies dressed in their very best finery filled the place Friday night shopping, eating, drinking wine and of course doing LOTS of visiting with friends old and new.

Saturday was also a great day despite the rain, shoppers came out in big numbers to enjoy one of the prettiest shows I've ever participated in. Just wish I'd had more time to shop, but it was good to be busy selling!

Thanks to Timi of Come Junk With Us, this lady knows how to put on a party!

No, my hubby Matt did not wear his ball gown and sash but he's still cute helping me out during set-up.

I'm back home now and rolling up my sleeves to get ready for our Holiday Treasures Show in less than 3 weeks!

Halloween BOO-tique Mad House!

What a fun day at Vintage Trifles Vintage Halloween BOO-tique this past Saturday!

The setting was perfect, Martha's house was definitely in the spirit for a spooky-cool show. The morning weather was over cast and cool, just perfect for Halloween. Lots of eye candy for lovers of Halloween; there were delicious goodies, a candy bar, hot cider, punch and even our own resident Madame Zadora (Elf Patty) greeting customers and doing a little palm reading (hand analysis for the politically correct according to M. Zadora).

One of a kind fabulous creations and lots of vintage goodies flew out the door! I didn't get any pictures :( It was so hectic and by the time I thought of getting any, there too many customers to get good shots. Visit Martha's blog to see pics of the show. Not sure when she'll be doing her post, she's been burning the midnight oil for weeks getting ready for the show and I know she's planning a much needed, well deserved break.

Due to the success of this show, I told Martha that this has to be an annual event, it was unlike any other show I've seen or participated in - EVER!

No rest for the weary - now it's time to kick it in high gear for the Ruffles & Rust Show on Oct 22nd and 23rd in Monroe, WA.

I'll post more on this show soon! It's sure to be a another must-see and I'm so looking forward to it. Stay tuned.........

Deepwood Antique Faire this Saturday!

Deepwood Estate is a very special historic home in Salem, Oregon.

The house is a Queen Anne victorian built in 1894, the surrounding four acres of gardens were designed by the well known female landscape architect team of Lord and Schryver in the 1920's.

The city of Salem saved this beautiful home in 1971 from a fate that so many other historic structures fell victim to; "URBAN RENEWAL" (the other meaning of urban renewal is; if it's old, it's gotta go!) because we all know how much better a nice new shiny parking lot or state office is than some old falling down house and gardens right? What better way to honor our heritage for future generations I ask?

Well, enough of my rant on tearing down historic buildings in the name of "progress", sorry but this is one of my many passions!

The faire will be this Saturday, Sept 25th from 9am - 3pm.

Sometimes, we all need a little makeover.

My blog was definitely due for one and my friend Jen must have been reading my mind when she asked if I would like her to design me a new header.

Of course I jumped at the opportunity since my blogger skills are, shall we say, elementary at best. Jen's skills, however, are certainly college level. Well, she not only designed a new header but surprised me with an entirely updated blog! Jen is recently published in Somerset Digital magazine, you can check her out here, she is such a beautiful, giving friend, I am truly blessed!

It's been a little busy around here since the faire a couple weeks ago, lots of stuff going on - getting kids back to school (yipee!) our 30th anniversary party (so fun!) a not so fun illness and visit to the ER for me (yuck). We had an awesome show this weekend! just a quick post to thank all the customers who came out in droves to shop and visit. We had a beautiful sunny day with great stuff, food and music.

Our parking went smooth as silk so my neighbors still like me. A big thanks also to my parking attendants, they did a fantastic job - Janet Sedor's husband Steve, my husband Matt and my sweet 81 year old dad Bill.

Last Minute Sneak Peeks!

Only two days till show time! This will be my last post before the show since after today I'll have no time to do another. I'm posting some of the things I'll have in my barn and porch, both of which are crammed packed with goodies!

This year's show is destined to be the best ever (I know I say that every year). I'm just so excited knowing the vendors are bringing their best and have worked so hard getting ready for this show.

We're able to use the field behind our house since last year our parking area was full and customers were parking down the streets. We want to be good neighbors (and not hated) or have the police show up....

Kathleen Beyer of Faded Charm is one of my long time vendors and friend. She and her daughter, Nichole, (who makes cute jewelry, hand-made cards and other great things) are a sweet mother-daughter team.

Kathleen has awesome finds and I love her farmhouse style of iron, architectural elements, chippy furniture and accessories.

She has a wonderful blog, check it out by here, her house is absolutely stunning and magazine worthy - hey Country Living Magazine, are you reading this? (I doubt it but you never know....).

I gotta a full week ahead with more vendor profiles and setting up. The forecast for Saturday is a heavenly 72 degrees & mostly sunny. After our little "heat wave" here, that will be absolutely refreshing and perfect for a day of junk'n!

Sarah Voss of Roost Reimagined is a very sweet young lady and a first time vendor at my show. I am so impressed with Sarah's carefree, elegant style. Sarah started a monthly barn sale this spring in Aumsville that is so darn cute, you just have to go! She has such a knack for display, and is a wonderful cook also - she used to own her own catering business, such talent for such a young'n!!

The Roost Reimagined barn sale is this weekend, starts tonight 4pm - 9pm with a special customer appreciation sale, everything is 20% off (Friday only)!

Barnhouse Blast!

What a show yesterday! I didn't get a lot of pictures because it was soooooo busy! I did manage to get a few shots of my booth before the rush of customers. Luckily, Martha took a lot of great pictures, visit her blog to see!

Customers started lining up around 8am and by 8:30, the line looked like this:

I am forever grateful to wonderful Martha for her help with my customers, I could not have done it without her - thank you again my sweet friend!

This adorable aqua cupboard will have a new home holding jewelry in a Sellwood shop in Portland. I hated to see it go......

This real stuffed hen sold pretty quickly, I'm not sure why anyone would want to stuff a chicken (except maybe to eat it) she was cute though, for a chicken.

This is such a fun show to sell at! The Barn House boys, Joe and Jermonne, are so caring and talented. They work very hard and it's nice to see it pay off for them in such a big way.

I sold so much, the trailer was full when we arrived and only about a third full when we left. Not to worry, I still have lots for my antique faire on Aug 21st!

It's Finally Here - My New Barn Porch!

We were in such a hurry five years ago to build & finish this barn before our eldest daughter Cara's wedding, which was at our home, the porch would just have to wait. Well, I patiently waited and waited and waited, you know how it is.......

This was the year we decided it was time to finally "finish" the barn, which is used as my shop. One day, it may be tuned into a little guest house. My husband and I have even thought about living there when we're too old to care for this big old farmhouse and navigate the steep staircase. We're hoping one of our four daughters will live in the old house with their family and wait on us hand and foot, I mean, look after us.

the dimensions are 24 feet by 10 ft, a nice deep porch

Roofing, flashing and lots of painting....

And voila! It's done, looks easy but was a lot of work, we had a fab contractor and my hubby
was his "helper". I love the open, vaulted design of the ceiling. There are still some antique porch brackets to be added and I have a cool, old chandelier to hang in the gable. The brackets were salvaged from an old Victorian torn down here in Sublimity back in the 70's that I got from someone who was taking them to the burn pile! They should be repaired and in place by the end of the week. We will eventually lay brick pavers instead of the gravel, I'll have to post another pic when these elements are finished.

I'm so happy to have the porch in place before the antique faire on Aug 21st!

Barnhouse Here I Come!

I'm so happy to again be a vendor at Barnhouse on July 31st!

This will be my third year participating (since it started!) it's been fun watching this show grow and become nationally famous! The BH boys really know how to put on a great time with some of the best vendors around and their farm is beautiful.

If you've never gone to the show, this is the year to go!

We had a blast at the Funky Junk Sisters Show this past weekend. As usual, I never get all the pictures taken at shows that I want. You can check out Martha's blog for more.

I met some of the nicest people ever at this show, all the vendors were so sweet and I actually met a few who read my blog! Since I figure only about 12 people actually read my blog, I was so excited!!

I also want to thank Linda & Dixie, the Funky Junk Sisters, for putting on such an awesome show with so much talent.

It was such a relaxed vibe and so much fun, thank you ladies! We never could pin down both of them for group pic but we did manage one pic w/ Dixie - see Martha's blog.

It's been a busy week getting ready for the Funky Junk Sisters Show, I wanted to share some of the treasures I'm taking with me.

I am so excited for this show for many reasons. For one thing, I've never been to Puyallup, Washington! I get to meet lots of creative new people, I'm sure the vendors are going to be fantastic and I can't wait to meet the Funky Junk Sisters in person, Dixie and Linda!

I was honored to be asked by my friend, Larena, if I would like to participate in a new spring show in Salem sponsored by the wonderful Aunt Bee's House (formerly Spencer's Alley). Larena and Aunt Bee's owner Belinda had already put on an adorable show last Christmas at Mission Mill in Salem.

Knowing Larena's talent for putting on a jaw dropping, gorgeous show (she used to own the famous Blackberry Junction Show in Albany) I quickly said yes! I would love to do the show!

This show features local vendors, all creative and talented ladies;

Engelhouse, Whatevers, Carol Curtis Hand Made Quilts, A Vintage Touch by "J", Molly Mo's,
Danni's, Valentine Creek Farm, Goose Hollow & many more!

The show starts April 29th and 30th 10am - 6pm
and May 1st 10am - 4pm

No admission fee and restocked daily!

Our annual 4 Friends sale was a huge success!

We toured each sale the night before but I forgot to take pictures of everything, Joy took some great shots, check her blog out for more. The pictures posted are the day of the show at my barn.

A big THANK YOU to all who came to shop till you dropped! What a beautiful day we had! The sun was out, not too cold, flowers were blooming, birds singing, friends to see and great treasures to buy.

Can't ask for a better day than that!
